Welcome to the world of Reflexology Lymphatic Drainage (RLD)!

Discover the Power of Reflexology Lymphatic Drainage (RLD) - an Award-Winning Technique that boosts lymphatic flow.

Lymphoedema is a condition where tissue swelling is happening as lymph drainage is not flowing effectively. It can cause discomfort and impede daily activities, but with RLD, relief is within reach.

RLD is a unique, research-backed reflexology technique that stimulates the lymphatic reflexes on the feet using specific protocols. This promotes the health of the whole lymphatic system. It was developed by Sally Kay BSc (Hons) while working in cancer care, RLD has been proven to be an effective tool for those who suffer from lymphoedema, especially those with secondary lymphoedema due to breast cancer treatment.

RLD is a discreet alternative to Manual Lymphatic Drainage massage. RLD focuses solely on the feet and/or hands through the manipulation of lymphatic reflex points. This form of reflexology targets the lymphatic system, which normally relies on bodily movement to move fluid. By encouraging the flow of fluid through RLD, clients can experience relief from swelling, pain, weakness, and discomfort.

Depending on the condition, during an RLD treatment session, I may take measurements of the affected limb/s and track the difference in fluid volume after the RLD treatment. This way, we can see and accurately track the progression of improvement in the condition over time. A series of 4-5 RLD sessions is recommended to see the greatest difference and improvement, and many clients continue to have regular monthly RLD treatments as part of their ongoing management of the condition.

Over the years, many conditions have shown to get real benefits by adding RLD to the treatment. Read the list below. Embrace the power of RLD as a complement to your compression garments and massage, and take the first step towards a happier, healthier life. Book your RLD appointment today and discover the miracle of this award-winning technique.

Sally's research shows the loss of excessive fluid in the whole body, including arms. When lymph nodes are removed in the armpits due to breast cancer, lymphoedema may cause swelling in the arm. Using RLD, there is loss of fluid as lymphatic flow is activated and liquids are flushed.
