Foot Mobilization (FMT)

Created by Ted Jedynak, podiatrist, FMT is a gentle manual therapy that supports joint and foot health.

Orthopractic Foot Mobilization involves gentle work on the foot and gentle manipulation of the bones in the feet.

Flexibility increases which helps with injuries, calcification, arthritis, bunions, pain, claw toes, etc.

As the weight bearing on the soles is more evenly spread and flexibility in the feet increases, joints and spine benefit as posture improves. This technique is generally followed by complimentary Reflexology which supports general well-being.

Correct Toes

Designed by Dr. Ray McClanahan, DPM, Correct Toes help the foot rehabilitate from the negative effects of conventionally shaped footwear. The device, made of soft, flexible silicone, encourages the toes back into their natural alignment found at birth. With progressive and consistent use while active and weight bearing, toes align and feet strengthen, restoring your foot’s original position and function.

Correct Toes can be worn barefoot or inside your shoes while active. The underlying issue of most foot problems stem from the simple fact that traditional fashion footwear alters the natural human foot shape.

Orthopractic
Foot Mobilization

Orthopractic manual therapy involves restoring mobility and normal end feels to stiff joints. Mobilization is the gentle, rhythmic, repetitive passive movement of graded amplitude aimed at restoring mobility and function and reducing pain in a joint, including bunions and surrounding tissue. Manipulation is a skilled, passive, quick movement aimed at restoring mobility and function and reducing pain in a stiff joint and associated tissue.

Benefits of Foot Mobilization = FMT

Helps break up connective tissue tightness between the joints in the feet, allowing better mobility to absorb shock when you walk or run.

It can improve the quality of movement within the joints by stimulating the body’s own oil production, synovial fluid. And it can help stimulate the production of synovial fluid, meaning your joints are effectively getting a grease and oil change.

Combine FMT with Correct Toes

Relieve Foot Pain and Improve Foot Functionality Naturally

ALIGN

Align toes, improve balance and stability

Similar to braces impacting the alignment of teeth, Correct Toes slowly and progressively change foot architecture. Structural changes create a wider base of support, improving balance, proprioception, gait and posture.

STRENGTHEN

Strengthen muscles throughout the foot

Accompanied by naturally-shaped footwear, Correct Toes encourage the foot to move, flex and bend. As muscles strengthen in the foot and lower leg, the foot is able to support itself. This eliminates the need for artificial arch support and orthotics.

RESTORE

Restore foot function & relieve foot pain

Correct Toes is a foot health tool that can be used to restore normal and natural foot and toe function.

Combined with Foot Mobilization, foot pain and problems can be resolved when the toes are realigned in the way nature intended.
